When I put this dress on and visualized all the accessories that I would pair with it, I immediately realized that this very simple yet incredibly elegant dress was the dress of my dreams! From that moment in the bridal salon until this very day I've gotten countless compliments on my dress. It was PERFECT! And if it wasn't for limited storage space I wouldn't be selling it.
It is an A-Line skirt (but not "little girly".) You can "fluff" the "crinoline" to add more fullness to the skirt. Or for a less full skirt, smooth the "crinoline" out. Also, this dress has a lower back than most dresses. It goes down in a soft "V" shape vs. straight across the back. I think this is a sexier (but still classy) look.
I had an outdoor wedding on a hot (93 degree) day. This dress is light and very comfortable. And bonus... it has POCKETS! Pockets that are completely hidden in the flat pleats. I have to say, it was nicer than I would have thought to have a hanky on hand!
The fabric is unique, yet classy and simple. Upon a closer look you'll notice a subtle shimmer. It mimics the look of dupioni silk. It is worry-free as it only requires a light steam (YAY for no pressing costs!)
To clarify, this dress was labeled as "Off-White" on the tag when I bought it. The color is a very pretty soft white; not too white/harsh/cold looking, not too ivory/yellow looking either.
After having it professionally cleaned, I did a thorough examination and noticed two very small spots on the dress. Nothing you can see without really looking for them. It might be helpful to note that I am a very particular, perfectionist, professional designer that notices details and I would wear it again in a heartbeat, just as it is. It is that gorgeous!
VEIL: I didn't ever envision myself with a veil but after thinking about it more and envisioning the pictures I decided that a veil was a must... veils flow beautifully in the breeze and it was the perfect accent for this simple dress during the ceremony! It is a long "Diamond White" veil (72 x 110) that coordinates style/color-wise perfectly with this dress. It doesn't have an edge detail. From a fashion standpoint, and especially for pictures, I would highly recommend getting the veil to go with it. I paid $200 and am selling it separately for $150. If purchased with the dress I'll sell it for $120.
